Bio
Veit Bergendahl is a trained chemist/biochemist and received his PhD in Biology 2003 from the Phillips University in Marburg, Germany. His thesis work was done with Prof. Richard Burgess at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, USA, where he later joined the lab of James Thompson and worked on pluripotent human stem cells and later joined his spin-off Cellular Dynamics International. He since has had several positions in biopharmaceutical industry with Roche, Miltenyi, and since 2012 at Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach.
Session outline
Experiences with self-organized principles within Boehringer Ingelheim, a traditional german pharma company. We have realized, that no matter, where the change is initiated (top down or bottom up), the key challenge is the change within everyone involved. I will outline our key learnings, current challenges and share some of our successful measures.
